We’re excited to introduce an improvement that makes your Confluence space conversion process more flexible and predictable.
Previously, space reindexing was a built-in and mandatory part of the conversion process. While this worked well for smaller spaces, larger spaces could experience long indexing times. In some cases, the process appeared to get stuck for hours, with little visibility into when it would move forward.
With our latest release, Scroll Versions 4.8.7, indexing is no longer embedded directly into the conversion flow. This change gives you better control over when indexing happens, helping you better plan and manage your conversion / migration workflow.
Once your space conversion is complete, you’ll be prompted to choose whether to start indexing immediately or postpone it to a more convenient time.
You’ll also see an option within the converted space to trigger indexing whenever you’re ready.
It’s important to note that indexing is still a required step before migrating your space to the cloud. However, by making it a separate action, you can now avoid unnecessary delays during conversion and decide the best time to run it.
This update is designed to give you a smoother, more transparent experience especially when working with large spaces.
