Cloud Roadmap and First Migration Prototype - Feb'21
First of all, we want to wish you and everyone around you a great 2021 in which we all start to see light at the end of the tunnel of the pandemic.
The product teams at K15t are working in full swing in order to bring our professional technical communication solutions to Confluence Cloud. We know that the journey to Cloud isn't a simple one for many teams – ourselves included – but we are fully committed to getting you there.
This won't happen overnight, but in the spirit of transparency and one of our core values: Be Fair, Be Frank, we will share regular updates about our progress to make sure you're able to plan for your Cloud journey in good time. An Overview of Our Cloud Plans
Our primary focus in 2021 is the shift to Cloud. In the past year, Scroll Documents has taken the lead as our primary app for content management and technical communication on Confluence, and we will continue to add support for Scroll Versions and Scroll Translations use cases throughout this year and beyond.
In short, here's what we are working on right now:
We are preparing Scroll Documents to support advanced content management functionality similar to Scroll Versions. After the ground work is done, we'll first implement Variants and then Translations shortly after.
As far as migration is concerned, we have developed an internal prototype to convert Confluence content from a Scroll Versions-managed space into a versioned Scroll Document. Going forward, we'll work to implement migration support for features as they're released in Scroll Documents. Watch the video here.
As for our content presentation apps – Scroll Viewport and the Scroll Exporters – we'll make sure to make their integrations with new Scroll Documents features as seamless and immediate as possible.
