Resolve "Page ABC Includes a Page with Scrollpageid XXX That Cannot Be Published"
Symptom
While converting your Scroll Versions managed space to Scroll Documents, you encounter the following warning:
"Page ABC includes a page with scrollpageid XXX that cannot be published."
Explanation
Page ABC includes a page with Scroll page ID XXX through an Include+ or Excerpt Include+ macro, but the page with Scroll page ID XXX cannot be converted. This could happen if the page is not available in the versions(s) you are trying to convert
Resolution
You have a few options to address this issue:
Ignore the warning:
If you are certain that the included page is not essential for the converted space, or if you are unconcerned, you can choose to ignore this warning. However, please be aware that there might be several broken include macros which will require cleaning up afterward.
Ensure inclusion of the included page:
To make sure the included page is part of the converted space:
First, navigate to the page which includes the affected page.
Open the page in the editor to identify the name of the included page by examining the relevant include macro.
Navigate to the included page.
Click on the Versions Menu.
Select Versions overview.
Verify that the page is added or inherited in the version(s) you are attempting to convert.
If the page is not a part of those version(s), follow the steps below.
Add the included page to the version where it does not exist:
In Confluence page view, change the version picker to the version where the page is not added.
Click Edit and publish the page to add it to the version where it's absent.
Note: The page may not have any content initially; in such cases, you can copy-paste the content from another version.Repeat step 3a-3b for each version you want to convert but the page is not yet a part of.
Attempt to convert the space again.
If you have already ensured the page is part of the desired version and the problem persists, or if you encounter difficulties during the process, please reach out to our support team for further troubleshooting.
